Christeyns – B2B ordering portal

The client

Christeyns provides professional laundry, cleaning and hygiene solutions for hotels, laundries, caterers and industry. Customers order regularly and each has their own price list and product range.

The challenge

Orders came in by email and phone, and sales reps had to enter them into the accounting software by hand. Customers needed to see their own prices and usual products, and products with safety requirements had to be sent together with safety data sheets.

The solution

We developed a web-based ordering portal whose products, customers and prices come from the accounting software. Confirmed orders are sent to the accounting software automatically.

• Customer-specific prices: every customer sees the prices from their own price list.
• Recommended products: the sales rep assigns the customer’s usual products, which are shown first in a separate view.
• Product and safety data sheets: a link to the technical data sheet (TDS) and safety data sheet (SDS) next to every product.
• Order history: previous orders and one-click reordering.
• Multiple locations: one user can order on behalf of several customer accounts or locations.
• Sales rep view: reps see their customers, can order on a customer’s behalf and set their product range.
• Administration: users, roles and permissions, product groups shown in the store and items.

Technology

Laravel (PHP), MySQL, role-based permissions, scheduled synchronisation with the Directo API (previously also Standard Books) and automated deployment with Bitbucket Pipelines. The screenshots show sample data.
