The client

Innova Europe sells disc golf discs and equipment to European resellers and shops. The same disc model comes in several plastics and weight classes, so a wholesale order often has hundreds of lines.

The challenge

A regular online store cart doesn’t work for wholesale: every combination of weight class and plastic has to be added separately, wholesale prices depend on the customer and stock changes quickly. Orders had to be quick to put together and reach the e-commerce system and accounting without manual work.

The solution

We built a separate B2B ordering portal that uses the online store’s (BigCommerce) customer accounts, products, stock and price lists. Data flows and business logic are handled by the Laravel API we developed.

LoginCustomers log in with the same account as in the online store.
Order matrixQuantities are entered directly into a table where the columns are weight classes.
CheckStock is re-checked in real time before confirmation.
OrderThe order is created instantly in the e-commerce system and moves on to the warehouse and accounting.
  • Weight-class matrix: each disc is one row and each weight class one column. Each cell shows stock and a quantity field, so a large order is ready in minutes. Weight classes can be filtered.
  • The customer’s own prices: prices come from the customer’s price list. If a product isn’t on the price list, it is clearly marked as retail price.
  • Real-time stock: quantities can’t exceed available stock. Stock is checked once more before the order is created so sold-out items don’t end up in the order.
  • Other products: bags, baskets and accessories in a separate table with colour and other variants.
  • Order review and cart: an overview before confirming, billing and shipping addresses pre-filled from the previous order, and an order comment.
  • Order history: all previous orders with their statuses.
  • UPC codes: barcodes for all products and variants with images, plus CSV export to the reseller’s POS system.
  • For the sales team: an administrator can select a customer and place an order on their behalf.

Technology

React, Vite, Tailwind CSS and React Router. Authentication uses secure API tokens (Laravel Sanctum), deployment is automated with Bitbucket Pipelines. The screenshots show sample data – no real customers or prices are displayed.
